FRONT ONLY Body Armour
Offering blunt force trauma protection for mental health care professionals
Our recently launched 'FRONT ONLY body armour' is another effective tool that can be used to reduce workplace violence related injuries within mental health care sectors, and other facilities specialised in severe learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, autism and special needs.
This new type of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) features a just 3mm thin and 650grams (23oz) light body moulded high performance polycarbonate plate.
This type of polycarbonate is identical to the material being used for police riot shields, offering outstanding protection from blunt forced trauma injuries, often result of punches, kicks, head-butting or impact of a blunt object.
The lightweight and comfortable front plate is held against the upper body via 6 point adjustable elastic straps and can literally be put on within a very few seconds.
Especially a number of female mental health care professionals have recently expressed a desire for specific protection of areas, such as the female breasts, which have often also been subject to very violent grabs or nips.
This innovative new body armour also offers up to 16 Joule of stab protection as well as previously unequalled protection from hypodermic needles.
Are you aware that it took more than 25 years from the initial launch of body armour to the police forces here in the UK to the first major developments of female specific body armour? Well, there is no doubt it took well too long for these developments to come along, but we genuinely believe that our female specific 'FRONT ONLY body armour' will have their place and help protect care workers and other domestic frontline professionals.

Then it becomes our objective and clear responsibility to design and develop PPE based on their operational risks, threats and duties. This 'listening' and 'understanding' process was also the beginning of the development of our bite resistant clothing.
